What time is check-in?

 

Covid 19

Due to new cleaning Raychem for Covid and depending on how the apartment has been left check-in time may vary will do our best to let Guests know on the day by phone if there is a delay?

 

Candlelight Self Catering Apartment standard check-in is between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm, earlier or later check-in by prior notification only, please. If you are late please ring or text us so we make sure that someone is in to welcome you.

 

Covid 19 check-in

 

  • Check-in,  this will be done by one of us and one member of the arriving party, mask to be warn, this will include a quick run through of the apartment and any questions. 
  • Late check-in, can also done when needed by Key safe, code will be texted to you on the day.
  • Key safe,  Guests arriving will be texted this information on the day.

Check out

 

  • We ask Guest to please leave the apartment clean and tidy and on time at 10.00am.
  • Apartment will be deep cleaned after every stay, given the new conditions depending on how the apartment has been left cleaning times may take longer than 4.00pm check-in.  

Complementary

  • Antibacterial hand washes will be put into both en-suites bath rooms, separate toilet and kitchen.
  • We will leave a 2 pint of milk some individual Jams for breakfast but coffee, tea and sugar will no longer be left.  Toilet rolls x2 will be left in each bathroom and toilet.
  • Bed throws, cushions and lounge throws have been removed.
  • All kitchen utensils etc are dish washed after every stay.

What time is check out?

 

Check-out is @10.00am for Self Catering Apartment

 

What is your cancellation policy?

 

SELF CATERING APARTMENT:

A deposit of 25% of the booking total is required.

 

Full booking balance must be paid 28 days (4 weeks) before arrival.
 
This deposit of 25% will be refunded if cancelled more than 42 days before arrival.
 
If the booking is cancelled less than 42 days before arrival then a charge equal to 25% of the booking amount will be made.

If the booking is cancelled 28 days or less before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
 
In the event of a no show, booking reduction (after arrival date) or ringing after an agreed check in time on the day to say you are not coming the full cost of the booking is charged.
 

Important notice

In the event of Guests being diagnosed with Covid 19 while staying at Candlelight they will have to self isolate and follow Government guidelines on self Isolation.  If this means Guest are unable to Travel and return to their own property, Guest will expected to pay all costs while staying at Candlelight.

 

Deposits and payments

If Guests are found to have contracted Covid 19 before their arrival and have to cancel we will return all payments made to the guests even up to the day of arrival.  Guests must contact us as soon as possible please.  If Guests do not contact us and do not show up or contact us way past agreed check-in time to say they are not coming then the full payment will be taken.

 

 

Takeaways

We ask our guests not to take away food to the bedrooms.  Greasy stains and lingering smells are hard to get rid of! We do have a standard charge of £50 for extra cleaning required to the room effected by takeaway smell. Any damage to bed covers or carpets is charged separately.

 

Do you supply beds for additional people/children in the rooms?

 

We do supply extra bed (metal frame fold out bed single) if required, at an extra charge. Please note, this will only be able to fold out in the lounge.  Bedrooms do not allow extra beds. 

 

 It is always a good idea to call or email us so we could advise you about the best room for your requirements.  

 

Do you do baggage transfers for walkers?

Do you accept pets?

 

Sorry, due to potential allergic reactions for other guests, we have a strict no pet policy for Candlelight except for Guide dogs.

 

Can I wear my shoes in Candlelight?

Under normal circumstances yes, however, if shoes are wet/muddy/covered in the sand we ask that they are removed at the entrance.  We ask that hiking boots also be removed. If you would like to wash your dirty shoes or boots please ask for bucket and brush (free of charge). there is a tap outside.

 

What is your smoking policy?

We are strictly non-smoking accommodation. Smoking cigarettes, other tobacco products in any of the rooms.  

 

Smoking is permitted outside in the courtyard area.

 

Electronic cigarettes?

Are also prohibited within the entire apartment.

 

Anyone breaking our smoking policy will be asked to leave immediately and will be charged in full for the total duration of their stay.

 

Clinical Waste?

We ask guests to please remove any clinical waste items/bags; we do not have the facilities to correctly dispose of this type of waste.
